Perseverant Messi scores in the end

Don’t mess with Messi, says his Barcelona teammate Daniel Alves. The Flea finally scored at the 77th after missing several chances against Valencia and Barca won 1-0. It seems Leo’s character, who usually looks calm, helped him to dare for more. "He missed a few which normally doesn't happen and he was a bit angry at halftime," Brazilian Alves commented. "And the worst thing that can happen is that Leo gets angry," he added. The Barca remains on top with  10 points ahead from Real. In related news, Coach Pep Guardiola was hospitalized yesterday for spinal disc hernia. "Pep is not feeling great and he got through the match as best he could," his assistant, Tito Vilanova, said after the game at the Mestalla.
